How safe is it?
The treatment is performed under strict government sanitation and sterilisation standards.

Cassie performs each service using disposable, sterilised parts, needles and equipment.
The treatment is conducted with disposable and completely disinfected and sterilised equipment and a one-time-use needle.
All pigments that are used contain ingredients approved by the FDA for cosmetic use.
Is cosmetic tattooing the same as a regular tattoo?
It is a form of tattoo, although different techniques and pigments are used. Because it is a semi-permanent cosmetic, it will not stay forever like a regular tattoo but it requires the same healing process. The colour results are a much softer and more natural looking than a regular tattoo.
What factors affect how long the colour lasts?
- Cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent and will soften over time, lighter colours will fade faster than the darker colours.
- The average client requires a touch-up every 2-5 years.
- Clients who have less sun exposure will have longer periods between touch-up appointments.
What colours are available?
Even though there is a wide range of colours to be chosen from, we still custom blend the right shade depending on your skin tone and hair colour.
Is the treatment painful?
Highly effective topical anaesthetic gels are used to numb the area to be treated. This helps to alleviate any minor discomfort you may experience during the procedure. Comfort levels vary from one person to another. Most clients say the feeling is more a sensation.
How long does it take?
An average tattoo treatment is about 1½ – 2 hours. The majority of the time is spent selecting the appropriate colour for your skin as well as measuring and artistically drawing on the shape and size prior to actually implanting the pigment.
What happens in my consultation?
- We understand that these procedures are a major beauty decision for you.
- During your consultation appointment, which is prior to your treatment procedure, you will have a one-on-one session with Cassie from Cassie Beauty Spot, who will conduct a medical history health profile.
- We will then go through how certain colours and designs will best complement your face shape.
- Next, we will pencil the make-up on until you have reached an agreement on the look that feels most comfortable and flattering to you.
- You will also have the chance to ask any questions and we will go through the procedure and aftercare.
Do I shave my brow?
Most certainly not! Although we can change the shape of your brows, we try to keep the eye brows as natural looking as possible. This involves the eye brow hair strokes (also known as feathering) or brow shading.
How will I look immediately after my treatment?
- You may experience minor swelling and redness on the day of your treatment.
- You may carry on normal activities, except for excessive exercise in the first 24 hours after your cosmetic tattoo treatment, as sweating can dilute the pigment.
- You should not use make-up on the affected area for 10 days after tattooing and keep the tattooed area moist with aftercare cream.
- There is some minor redness, healing and skin exfoliation during the healing process.
- No recovery time is necessary and you can return to normal activities immediately after a cosmetic tattoo treatment, although the treated area may be a little swollen or bruised for a day or so.
- Treated areas will usually exfoliate and lighten to a more natural looking shade within the healing process.
- You will need to come back for a second visit, 4-8 weeks after your initial treatment, this is a retouch appointment (it is charged out at $100 per area). This is to perfect the shape and deepen the colour, and then not for another 2-5 years.
AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
ALL PROCEDURES
- The treated area will appear very exact and darker in colour when first treated, approximately 30%-50% of the colour intensity will be lost during the healing process. The colour will soften beautifully during healing.
- Schedule your retouch appointment within 4-8 weeks of initial treatment, never before. This allows time for the healing process to be complete. We are then able to correctly assess the colour and make any adjustments required. Any areas that have resisted or lost pigment will be retouched. This retouch appointment is charged out at $100 per area. If you do not schedule your retouch appointment within 8 weeks of your initial procedure, you will be charged as per initial treatment.
- Keep the tattooed area out of the sun whilst it is healing (7-10 days). Once the area has healed you can apply sunblock or keep the area covered when in the sun to prevent fading.
- There may be slight swelling of the tattooed area, this will subside within a couple of hours. You may apply an ice pack wrapped in a damp gauze and use aftercare cream to reduce the swelling.
