COSMETIC TATTOOING

Cosmetic tattooing has a colourful history that began way back in the times of Ancient Egyptian culture and their elaborate beauty rituals. Thankfully, with modern technology, we have advanced in technique and in our choice of pigment.

MICRO PIGMENTATION
Today's cosmetic tattooing is also permanent make-up, known as micro pigmentation, and is used medically and aesthetically – it dates back to the early 1980's. Initially introduced to help Alopecia patients, a condition that causes hair loss (including eye brows). Since then, the applications for cosmetic tattooing have expanded to help visually impaired patients, burn victims, cancer survivors, patients with arthritis and Parkinson’s disease. It eliminates the need to apply make-up for those who already have unsteady hands and limited vision.

WAKE-UP BEAUTIFUL
Micro pigmentation is a fantastic way to effortlessly achieve your perfect look everyday. No extra time in front of the mirror, no guessing, it's simply perfect everyday. Our expertise allows us to choose your best lip colour, brow shade and eye liner while considering your skin tone, eye colour and hair colour.

IS IT PERFECT FOR YOU?
If you answer 'yes' to any of the following, then you will benefit from cosmetic tattooing:

  • Are you active and constantly sweating or rubbing off your make-up?

  • Do you have allergies to traditional make-up?

  • Do you travel constantly and have no time for make-up application?

  • In the past, had you over plucked your eyebrows and are you now left with very little original brow hair?

  • Do your eye brows grow unevenly?

  • Do you have features that are a little uneven, not quite balanced and need correcting asymmetrically?

  • Do you want to look natural without the look of make-up?

  • Has your natural lip line definition decreased with age?

THE ANCIENT ART OF TATTOOING
Is cosmetic tattooing the same as a regular tattoo, I hear you ask. Great question. Well, it is a form of tattoo, although different techniques and pigments are used. Because it is a semi permanent cosmetic, it will not stay on your skin forever like a regular tattoo, but it requires the same healing process. The colour results are a much softer and more natural look than a regular tattoo, as it is designed to enhance your natural aesthetics, to be discrete and complementary as opposed to an artistic or tribal expression.
